Veteran is unable to pay for his groceries. Turns around to hear customer say loudly: “it’s our turn”

Larry Robeson, a Vietnam veteran, was experiencing financial hardship and uncertain about where to turn for help. In a Las Vegas grocery store, he encountered the Fox 5 Surprise Squad, who was covering people’s groceries. Larry had taken his disabled fellow veteran friend, Stephanie, to the store.

The Surprise Squad paid for Stephanie’s groceries, and then they noticed Larry, who had established the Bones for Blankets club to provide blankets to homeless veterans. Larry had only intended to purchase dish soap and candy but was told by Dave Hall, the reporter leading the Surprise Squad, that it was their turn to serve him. They paid $278 for Larry’s groceries, leaving him deeply moved by their generosity.
