Trump explains the heavy bruise on his left hand came from ‘clipped it on the table’

The White House acted swiftly to calm speculation, saying the bruise visible on President Trump’s left hand was the result of accidentally bumping it against a table during a signing event in Davos.

Trump himself downplayed the mark, explaining that he had clipped his hand and applied a bit of cream afterward. His aides added that his long-standing use of daily high-dose aspirin makes him prone to bruising.

Still, the images surfaced in an environment already filled with skepticism. Any visible sign related to the president’s health tends to spark intense scrutiny and rapid online speculation.

Previous photos showing bandages, what appeared to be cosmetic coverups, and a precautionary MRI last fall have kept attention fixed on Trump’s physical condition. Each new detail has been closely examined.

Although his physician released a memo in December stating that Trump’s heart and cardiovascular scans were normal and in excellent condition, doubts have lingered among critics who view even minor marks as meaningful signals.

Supporters, however, see the bruise as insignificant. To them, it reflects nothing more than age, a demanding schedule, and the effects of medication rather than any serious concern.

In the end, the episode highlights how intensely Trump’s health is monitored, with even the smallest physical detail becoming a point of debate in a presidency that remains constantly under a microscope.
