In a recent interview on CBS Sunday Morning, Tom Selleck opened up about the financial uncertainties he faces following the cancellation of “Blue Bloods,” where he starred as NYPD’s top officer for 14 seasons. The actor expressed concerns about maintaining ownership of his 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California, previously an avocado farm. Despite his long career, Selleck emphasized the importance of a steady paycheck and the reality of financial stability in acting.

He candidly discussed how affording the upkeep of such a large property is challenging, confirming his need for new roles to sustain his lifestyle. This revelation surprised many fans who assumed his decades in Hollywood secured his financial future indefinitely.

On the health front, Selleck has faced speculation regarding arthritis, which reportedly caused him pain during filming and led to the use of a stunt double for certain scenes. His representatives, however, have denied these claims, asserting that he is “fit and vigorous.” While Selleck has not publicly confirmed specific health issues, he acknowledged that performing stunts has taken a toll on his body, particularly his back.

At 79, Selleck remains active, recently releasing his memoir, “You Never Know,” while balancing professional commitments with family life on his ranch.
