Son Who Didn’t Visit His Mother for Years Comes and Sees Her House Destroyed – Story of the Day

Adam neglected his mother, Diana Evans, for years after moving to New York for college. Diana, who raised Adam alone, was proud and supportive despite their distance. Adam’s calls became infrequent, and eventually stopped altogether.

Years later, needing documents from California, Adam visited home unannounced. To his shock, he found their house destroyed and abandoned. Desperate, he asked their neighbor, Mr. Green, about Diana’s whereabouts. Mr. Green revealed a storm had damaged the house months ago, and Diana, unable to afford repairs, moved to a nursing home.

Adam, guilt-ridden, rushed to the nursing home and found Diana frail and in a wheelchair. “Mom, I’m so sorry,” he sobbed, kneeling before her. Diana, touched, forgave him, urging him to rise.

Adam promised to care for her and keep her company. He repaired their old home, moved Diana back in, and relocated his business to California. Adam’s girlfriend joined them, and together they cared for Diana.

Living together, the family found happiness. Diana, once lonely, now helped with chores and cooked meals, enjoying her son’s presence. Adam, having learned from his mistakes, ensured his mother never felt abandoned again, fulfilling his promise to stay by her side.
