Melissa Servetz, a former teacher and single mother, has fostered 56 children over the past five years. Feeling fulfilled, she decided to foster one more child before calling it quits. Unaware that “one more” was the key to her personal goal, Melissa’s maternal instinct kicked in.
Reflecting on her experiences with her surviving four foster children, she decided to adopt them, fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a mother.
The children had come to her by fate when a parent of a former student informed her that some children needed temporary housing. Melissa adopted Jade, Destiny, Matthew, and Emerson, providing them a loving home.
