Jordan Fox, mourning his wife Kyra’s first death anniversary, visits her grave with their triplets. There, he encounters Denis, an older man who claims to be the children’s real father. Shocked and confused, Jordan listens as Denis offers him $100,000 to give up the kids. Denis knows intimate details about Kyra, including a burn scar on her thigh, which disturbs Jordan.
Denis reveals he’s Kyra’s father, admitting he abandoned her when she struggled with addiction. Kyra had told her friend she feared Jordan would leave if he discovered the babies weren’t his. Denis wanted to correct his mistake and be part of his grandchildren’s lives but was afraid Jordan wouldn’t allow him to.
Jordan, devastated, initially considers Denis’s offer but realizes he can’t abandon the children he’s raised. He declines the money, affirming that true fatherhood is about love and commitment, not biological ties.
Denis reveals he had only offered money out of desperation and regret. He wanted to be a part of his grandchildren’s lives but couldn’t do so without Jordan’s consent. He acknowledges Jordan’s love and dedication to the triplets and seeks to reconcile with his past mistakes.
Jordan, moved by Denis’s remorse and sincerity, agrees to let Denis be involved in the children’s lives. Over time, Denis becomes a regular presence, helping raise the triplets and finding redemption in being a loving grandfather.
