Phil Collins, a renowned musician, and former Genesis drummer and lead singer, has had a distinguished career with eight Grammy awards. He was born in London in 1951, where his love for music began at a young age.
Collins recalls starting to perform at his parents’ boating club as a child. His musical journey continued, influenced by the emerging English beat scene.
In the 1970s, he joined Genesis and later became the band’s lead vocalist.
He achieved success with Genesis and as a solo artist, known for hits like “In the Air Tonight.” Collins retired from the band but later rejoined for a tour, during which his son Nicholas played the drums. Concerns about his health have led him to consider stepping back from touring.
