My Parents Kept Worrying about My Personal Life, So I Came up with a Smart Plan to Stop Them Fretting

Richard, tired of his parents’ constant nagging about his nonexistent love life, concocted a scheme to bring a fake girlfriend to their anniversary bash. Childhood friend Helen agreed to play along, and what began as a joke soon felt unexpectedly real.

At the party, holding hands with Helen, Richard declared they were an item, much to his parents’ surprise. The night was a blast, with Helen proving to be funnier and more intriguing than he remembered. But things took a turn during a couple’s challenge, where Richard felt a sudden surge of attraction towards Helen.

After the party, they took a walk on the beach, where their easy conversation turned into something deeper. They began seeing each other for real, and within a year, Richard walked into his family’s house not with a fake girlfriend, but with his real fiancée, Helen.

Their wedding was a grand affair, but even on that day, Richard’s mother couldn’t resist hinting about grandchildren. Chuckling, Richard knew his parents would always push for more, but he was already planning to start a family with Helen.

Their love story, born out of a fake scheme, blossomed into something genuine, proving that sometimes, what starts as a joke can lead to a lifetime of happiness.
