My Neighbor Kept ‘Accidentally’ Taking My Packages – So I Left Her a Special Christmas Gift

I moved to this peaceful neighborhood for a fresh start with my son, Mike, after a tough divorce. Life was good until I met Linda, our overly friendly neighbor. She welcomed us with cookies and offered to collect any packages left on our porch. At first, I thought she was just being kind.

But then, packages started disappearing—small ones at first, and then more expensive items. The final straw came just before Christmas when a special ornament for my mom went missing. When I confronted Linda, she always had an excuse, like “I thought it was mine!” But I knew better. Linda was stealing my packages.

Determined to teach her a lesson, I ordered a glitter bomb. I wrapped it up and left it on my porch, clearly labeled with my name. Linda swiped it, and when she opened the box, glitter exploded everywhere. The next morning, she stormed over, covered in glitter from head to toe.

“How dare you!” she yelled.

I smiled sweetly. “Funny? No. Satisfying? Absolutely.” I warned her to stop stealing my packages or I’d call the police.

Word spread quickly around the neighborhood about Linda’s thefts, and after my glitter stunt, other neighbors started speaking up. Linda tried to keep a low profile for the rest of the holidays, and I haven’t had a single package go missing since.

Sometimes, a little sparkle is all it takes to set things right.
