My MIL Decided to Announce Her Pregnancy at My Wedding & Spoil It — My Sister Took Stone-Cold Revenge on My Behalf

Before she even became my mother-in-law, Diane was a thorn in my side. Her disrespect reached its peak on my wedding day. Fortunately, someone close to me taught Diane a lesson she never forgot.

Diane, 45, saw me as competition from the start, always trying to outshine me. It worsened during wedding planning, where she relentlessly tried to control everything, pushing for a “cheap” wedding. Barry and I, however, wanted a grand celebration.

On our wedding day, Diane showed up in a white dress, trying to steal the spotlight. During the reception, my sister Liz overheard Diane planning to announce her pregnancy. Liz quickly devised a plan and, just before Diane could speak, announced her own pregnancy, saying, “Amelia just asked me to share some wonderful news! I’m pregnant, and the bride is going to be a GODMOTHER and an AUNTIE!”

The guests erupted in applause. Diane was stunned, her face pale with shock. Liz leaned in and whispered to Diane, “You thought you could steal her moment?”

Diane tried to salvage the situation, but Liz warned the guests to respect our day. Barry noticed the tension, but Liz defused it, claiming Diane wanted to congratulate us privately. Diane reluctantly agreed, and the rest of the evening went smoothly.

Thanks to Liz, our special day remained joyful. Diane’s influence lessened, and she eventually showed more respect. When our baby was born, Diane’s genuine joy and newfound respect marked a turning point in our relationship, strengthening our family.
