Mom of rare twins with Down syndrome show just how beautiful and precious they are to shut down critics

Twin pregnancies have become more common, with a 72% increase in likelihood from 1980 to 2018, resulting in twins being born in approximately 33 out of every 1,000 births. Identical twins are rarer, occurring in three to four out of 1,000 births.

Savannah Combs, 23, was delighted to learn she was expecting twins, but she later discovered that both had Down syndrome, which is also unusual. Despite the challenges, Savannah and her husband Justin Ackerman chose to embrace their unique journey.

Savannah shared her postpartum experience on TikTok with her twin daughters, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, gaining popularity for their story. Some advised her to consider abortion due to their health conditions, but Savannah decided to give them a chance.

“I said, good thing they weren’t born to you and were born to me. God knew what he was doing by giving these babies to the right parents who would love them regardless.”Gorgeous girls. Anyone who asserts the contrary is just being cruel. These people are the most priceless and kind ones there are! Please spread the word about this touching tale on Facebook.

Born prematurely at 29 weeks, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman are mono-di twins, sharing a placenta and being identical. This combination, along with Down syndrome, is extremely rare, occurring in only one in 2 million cases.

“They have feelings. They have a beating heart. They know how to talk. They know how to do things you do. They will get there,” she said.

Savannah emphasized that her daughters are like any other children, capable of growth and learning. She posts updates on TikTok to share their milestones and inspire others.

Despite some hurtful comments on social media, Savannah remains determined to give her children the love and care they deserve, emphasizing that they are “feisty” and “happy.”

Savannah’s story serves as a touching reminder of the power of love and acceptance in overcoming challenges.
