Man Wakes Up With His Toe Chewed ‘To The Bone’ By His Puppy, Hospital Scans Reveal The Unthinkable

A 64-year-old man, David Lindsay, was woken up by his wife’s scream to a horrifying sight – his big toe chewed down to the bone by his bulldog puppy, Harley. Despite the gruesome scene, this incident turned out to be a lifesaver.

Medical scans revealed that David had lost feeling in his feet due to blocked arteries in his legs. His wife rushed him to the hospital, where he’s been receiving treatment to prevent infection from the dog bite.

During CT scans, doctors made a startling discovery – two blocked arteries that could potentially lead to amputation if left untreated. Now, David is undergoing evaluations for stents to unblock the arteries and restore blood flow. Remarkably, he has no plans to part with his life-saving bulldog, saying, “You’ve got to laugh about it. He’s done me a favor by chewing up my toe.”

In an amusing twist, David quipped, “I’ll be keeping the dog. I’ll try to keep my toe too, but if not, I told the doctor to cut it off, and I can take it home for him!”
