Grandmother Sets Marriage Deadline for Granddaughter by Her 70th Birthday or She’s Excluded from Will — Story of the Day

Sophie was enjoying a delightful evening with family when her grandmother, Evelyn, made a shocking announcement: to get her inheritance, Sophie needed to get married within a month—in time for Evelyn’s upcoming birthday!

Evelyn’s voice rang out, “Sophie, you have dedicated your life to your career, but you’ve neglected our cherished family values. Unless you can find a husband by the time I turn 70 next month, you will not be included in my will.”

Sophie was shocked and frustrated but decided to tackle the challenge. She threw herself into the dating world, but her experiences were disastrous. Eventually, she turned to her assistant, Steven, asking him to pretend to be her boyfriend. Reluctantly, he agreed.

They spent a weekend together to make their act believable. Sophie enjoyed Steven’s company more than she expected, realizing she had genuine feelings for him. However, back at the office, Steven resigned, feeling hurt by Sophie’s initial self-interest.

At Evelyn’s birthday party, Sophie approached Steven with an apology. “I missed you terribly. Our pretending turned into something real for me.” Steven, revealing his own feelings, forgave her.

Evelyn, observing their reconciliation, smiled warmly. “Sophie, you’ve come to realize what truly matters. I’ll leave the inheritance to you.”

Steven then announced he had opened his own bakery, and the evening ended with laughter and celebration, marking a new beginning for everyone.
