Bus Driver Takes Woman in Labor to Hospital, Adopts Her Orphaned Child Two Years Later— Story of the Day

Bill, a childless bus driver, loved children and always carried candy for the kids on his route. One day, a pregnant woman named Sophia went into labor on his bus. Bill switched routes, speeding to the hospital. He handed Sophia’s handbag to a nurse before leaving, worrying about her well-being.

A week later, Bill visited the hospital with gifts, only to learn Sophia had left. He found her address at a homeless shelter but discovered she had moved. Disappointed, Bill and his wife, Julia, hoped she and her baby were safe.

Two years passed. One day, Bill noticed a passenger with a heart-shaped locket featuring Sophia’s picture. “Do you know Sophia?” he asked. The woman, Cathy, explained she worked at a shelter for orphaned kids. Sophia had died of a terminal illness, leaving behind her daughter, Crystal, who lived at the shelter.

That evening, Bill and Julia visited the shelter, meeting little Crystal. Julia’s eyes sparkled with joy, and they brought Crystal toys and clothes, her first birthday presents ever. Six months later, they adopted her, transforming their lives with love and laughter.

“I told you… God watches over His children and always answers our prayers unexpectedly,” Bill said, cradling Crystal.

Their lives, once filled with sorrow, now brimmed with happiness.
