Mia grew up in a modest household but always desired the best in life. After excelling in school, she mingled with wealthy peers and fell in love with a wealthy executive named Mark. As they planned their luxurious wedding, Mia decided not to invite her frugal grandmother, Lucia, fearing she’d embarrass her.
“She’s alarmingly thin, and she doesn’t know how to dress well. She’ll stick out like a sore thumb,” Mia insisted despite her family’s protests.
On her wedding day, Lucia sent a giant rose to Mia’s dressing room. Although initially unimpressed, Mia found a note and a key inside the rose. The note led her to a chest in the church, which contained stacks of cash and a heartfelt message from Lucia: “I hope this helps you and your husband build the life you want for your family.”
Realizing her grandmother’s love and sacrifices, Mia felt immense regret. She rushed to Lucia’s house, apologized, and insisted Lucia attend the wedding. “I’m sorry, grandma. I came to say sorry for how badly I’ve treated you,” Mia cried.
Mia returned to her wedding with Lucia by her side. The day marked a new beginning for their relationship. Mia ensured her grandmother felt cherished, teaching her future children the value of love and family.
Since then, Mia made sure to take good care of her grandmother and make the most out of their time together.
