Woman Accidentally Hit a Man in the Nose in the Elevator, Only to Discover He Was Her New Boss — Story of the Day

Claire was nervous about her first day at her new job. Things got worse when she got stuck in the elevator with a stranger and accidentally broke his nose in a panic. When they exited the elevator, she discovered this man was her new boss, Mr. Hemforth, known for his reputation as a ruthless tyrant.

On her first day, Claire was determined to make a good impression despite her clumsiness. As she entered the towering office building, she tried to stay focused. In the elevator, an attractive man in a suit criticized her for pressing the already pressed button. Suddenly, the elevator stopped, and the lights went out. Claire, terrified of confined spaces, began to panic. The man tried to calm her, but a sudden jolt scared Claire, and she accidentally elbowed his nose.

Upon exiting, Claire realized the man was her boss. Days passed, and Claire felt Hemforth hated her, rejecting all her work. One night, Claire stayed late, determined to prove herself. Hemforth returned to retrieve his forgotten phone and found Claire working. He encouraged her to create something truly her own.

Inspired, Claire worked through the night and presented her new design to Hemforth. He praised her, surprising Claire. As they left, Hemforth revealed he was the one who had comforted her at a graduation party years ago. They shared a memory of his encouraging words that had kept Claire from dropping out.

Their connection deepened, and in the elevator, Hemforth kissed Claire, saying, “It’s okay. I’m here.”
