My Hypocrite SIL Copies My Hair, Hobbies, and Clothes – I Wrapped Her around My Finger at a Friend’s Wedding

Ever felt like someone’s watching your every move just to copy you? That’s been my life with Olivia, my sister-in-law. She’s my husband’s ex, now married to his brother. Ever since I entered the family, she’s copied everything—my hairstyles, hobbies, and even cooking!

I tried ignoring it, but it got worse. One day, I overheard her telling a friend that I was the copycat. That was the last straw. I decided to teach her a lesson at a friend’s wedding.

I posted a photo of myself with short, black hair on Instagram. It was a wig, but Olivia didn’t know that. At the wedding, she appeared with her hair cut and dyed just like my fake photo. I revealed the truth, showing everyone my real hair and the wig photo. Olivia was mortified.

But I didn’t stop there. I kept posting fake transformations—photoshopped tattoos, pixie cuts—watching her follow each one disastrously. The family noticed and laughed, finally realizing her obsession.

I felt a bit sorry seeing her cry, but I knew she needed to stop copying me. I told her to embrace her own style. The copying ceased, and while we’re not best friends, family gatherings are livelier with jokes about my “makeovers.”

Living well means embracing your individuality. So, have you dealt with a copycat? Share your stories in the comments!
