Meredith receives an invitation to her sister-in-law Karen’s housewarming party with a shocking demand: each guest must pay $1,000 for a TV Karen has already bought. Stunned and frustrated, Meredith vows to address this audacious request.
“Can you believe this?” Meredith mutters, staring at the fancy invitation. A few days later, a message from Karen confirms the demand. “She’s got to be kidding,” Meredith exclaims.
At the party, Karen proudly displays the enormous TV. Meredith and her husband, David, decide to confront her. “Have you had a chance to bring the money?” Karen asks bluntly. “A housewarming gift should be thoughtful and within everyone’s budget,” Meredith replies.
