Higashi, a Japanese tourist, entered Sizzling Steak expecting a warm meal. Andy, a seasoned waiter, had a plan for non-native customers who didn’t speak English. He served Higashi reheated leftovers and tried to rob him, thinking he’d get away with it.
The dinner rush was in full swing when Louise, a new waitress, greeted Higashi. “Welcome to Sizzling Steak,” she said. Higashi ordered a steak with fries, but Andy intercepted, insisting Louise serve cold leftovers to Higashi. “He’s just a tourist. Doesn’t speak a word of English,” Andy sneered.
Louise reluctantly served the cold steak, but Higashi protested, “This isn’t what I ordered.” Andy’s racism and greed escalated when he saw Higashi’s money. He promised a better meal and a luxurious experience, but it was all a ruse. Andy stole Higashi’s overcoat and found wads of cash.
Louise, determined to do the right thing, used a translator app to explain to Higashi. “You were robbed. Mr. Miller took your money. I’m giving it back to you.” Higashi was shocked but thankful.
The police arrived as Andy falsely accused Louise. However, Higashi revealed his true identity as a journalist and proved Andy’s theft. “My cash is marked blue,” Higashi explained, soaking a bill to show the mark. The officer arrested Andy, clearing Louise’s name.
“Thank you for your bravery and honesty, Louise,” Higashi said, offering her a job in his New York office. “You deserve it!”
