Girl Strolls Through Supermarket with Mom, Spots Her ‘Missing’ Photo on Milk Carton – Story of the Day

At the supermarket, Mia, 14, is shocked to see a milk carton with her photo and the word “MISSING.” Recovering from a coma, she doesn’t remember much, but a woman named Laura claims to be her mother and takes her home. Mia senses something is off, especially with Laura’s haste to leave the hospital and her nervousness.

One day at the supermarket, Mia notices her photo on a milk carton. She memorizes the contact number and calls it when she gets a chance. The woman on the other end, claiming to be her real mother, says Mia was kidnapped.

Laura catches Mia making the call and locks her in the basement. Mia finds documents revealing Laura’s delusions about her deceased daughter. Desperate, Mia pretends to accept Laura as her mother, gaining her trust.

When Mia gets the chance, she hits Laura with a plate and escapes, but Laura follows and catches her. As Laura tries to choke Mia, a cop intervenes and subdues Laura with a Taser. Mia’s real parents arrive, having traced her call, and reunite with her. Hugging her real parents, Mia finally feels at home and safe.
