I saw something on my husband’s phone that hurt me deeply. Tom and I, Anna, had been saving for months for his dream sports car. Money was tight, and I had to forgo personal needs, including updating my wardrobe and makeup.

Two days ago, I picked up Tom’s phone to charge it and saw a notification of a photo from my underwear drawer. Curiosity got the better of me, and I checked his phone. Joyce’s support was a game-changer. Before leaving for dinner with her, I took a glamorous selfie and sent it to Tom’s group chat with the message, “Granny’s going out tonight, guys!”

Tom was left shocked and remorseful. When I returned, he was ready with flowers and an apology. “I’m sorry for taking you for granted,” he said. We agreed on couples counseling to rebuild our trust. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start.
