NFL Reporter Mourns Passing of Two-Year-Old Daughter After Cancer Battle

Doug Kyed, an NFL reporter, is mourning the loss of his two-year-old daughter, Hallie Kyed, who passed away in January 2021 after a nine-month battle with leukemia. Hallie was diagnosed in April 2023, changing her family’s world. Despite her young age, she showed immense courage, but a bone marrow transplant led to complications, resulting in a relapse.

Hallie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, with her parents, Doug and Jen, holding her hands. Doug described the impact of her loss, saying, “Our lives will never be the same.” Jen, his wife, likened it to having a hole in her heart, a pain that leaves them questioning why such a terrible thing could happen.

Throughout Hallie’s illness, Doug and Jen stayed at Boston’s Children’s Hospital, providing unwavering support. The NFL community extends heartfelt condolences as they mourn their precious daughter. Rest in peace, Hallie.
