Following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, the royal family entered a new era with King Charles ascending the throne, and Prince William and Kate Middleton taking on the roles of the Prince and Princess of Wales. However, the focus remains on the royal children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who were fortunate to spend time with their great-grandmother before her passing.
On the day Queen Elizabeth passed away, George, Charlotte, and Louis stayed with their mother, Kate, as they couldn’t join the family gathering at Balmoral. Unfortunately, young Prince Louis was too small to attend the funeral.
Though only four years old at the time, Prince Louis had his own thoughts about his great-grandmother’s passing, which were both heartrending and touching. Queen Elizabeth, who reigned for over 70 years, was laid to rest in the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle, joining her parents, sister Princess Margaret, and husband Philip.
Before the funeral, hundreds of thousands of people paid their respects by visiting London’s Westminster Hall, where Queen Elizabeth lay in state.
