My Ex-husband’s Fiancée Said I Am ‘Heartless’ – Am I Wrong for Not Feeling Pity Towards Her?

A woman shared her experience on Reddit of navigating co-parenting with her ex-husband, who had cheated on her with a woman named Tammy. Despite her efforts to maintain clear boundaries with her ex’s new partner, she found herself accused of being heartless.

After her divorce, the woman focused on maintaining a civil relationship with her ex for the sake of their children. However, Tammy, the new partner, seemed to go out of her way to provoke a reaction from her. Despite the woman’s attempts to remain cordial, Tammy continued to push boundaries, even inviting her to be a bridesmaid at her wedding.

When Tammy announced her pregnancy and later shared news of a miscarriage, the woman’s response was perceived as lacking empathy. Feeling that she owed nothing to Tammy beyond co-parenting, the woman remained detached from Tammy’s personal life.

Despite being labeled as heartless by Tammy and her ex-husband, the woman stood firm in her boundaries, asserting that her only concern was co-parenting their children. Reddit users overwhelmingly supported the woman’s stance, acknowledging her right to maintain personal boundaries and emphasizing the importance of focusing solely on co-parenting for the well-being of the children involved.
