Tim McGraw Enlists Crowd To Sing “Live Like You Were Dying” For Toby Keith

During a Florida tour stop, Tim McGraw paid tribute to the late Toby Keith, asking the crowd to join him in singing “Live Like You Were Dying.” McGraw reminisced about Keith, calling him “a really, really good guy” and admiring his independent spirit. McGraw dedicated his hit song to Keith and his family, admitting, “Bear with me if I don’t get through it.” The atmosphere was solemn as McGraw struggled through the lyrics, prompting the crowd to sing along. Afterward, visibly moved, McGraw stood silently as the audience cheered, holding back tears.

McGraw and Keith had a friendship spanning over 30 years, commemorated by the release of their debut albums on the same day in 1993. McGraw praised Keith’s individuality, calling him a “maverick” and expressing deep respect for his artistry and courage.
