DNA Test Turned Family’s Lives Upside Down

A 29-year-old woman shared on Reddit that her husband, 31, got a DNA test for their daughter, 5, leading to shocking results. The test was negative, and her husband changed towards her, suspecting infidelity. Despite her insistence of fidelity, he wanted her to leave. After settling on further tests, a blood paternity test revealed neither were the biological parents.

The couple sued the hospital, receiving $2 million for negligence. They found their biological daughter in foster care, as the fake parents had taken her from the hospital. They applied to adopt her, planning a fresh start in another town. The daughter they lived with was informed she had a sister joining them, and they assured her of their love despite the situation. The family’s lives were turned upside down, but the story had a positive ending.
