Chicago woman charged with threatening to kill Donald Trump and his youngest son, Barron

Tracy Fiorenza, a 41-year-old woman from Chicago, is charged with sending threatening emails to former President Donald Trump and his son Barron. In these emails, she explicitly stated her intent, saying,

“I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!”

She also threatened to “slam a bullet” into Barron’s head “with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!” Fiorenza admitted to sending these emails during an interview with the Secret Service.

This incident highlights the concerning trend of threats against public figures. Recently, a Texas woman was arrested for threatening a federal judge and a Black member of Congress, while an armed Utah man making violent threats against President Joe Biden was fatally shot by FBI agents.

If convicted, Fiorenza could face up to five years in prison.
