Reba McEntire honors late band members in heartbreaking tribute

Country music icon Reba McEntire, known for her success and infectious smile, has faced her share of heartbreaks. In 2022, she lost her mother, Jacqueline, to cancer. Reba and her mother had a close, loving bond, and Jacqueline had nurtured Reba’s singing talent. Reba shared her grief on social media, emphasizing her mother’s wonderful life and peaceful passing.

This was not Reba’s first experience with loss. In 1991, she endured a tragic airplane crash that claimed the lives of seven band members and her manager. Reba and her then-husband had opted to stay back in San Diego, where their previous concert was held, instead of flying on the ill-fated plane headed to Indiana.

Reba recently paid tribute to the band members who perished in the crash. She shared a video of their performance, noting how their love for music and the stage continue to inspire her.

Reba’s life has been marked by both triumph and tragedy, but her resilience shines through.
