My Ex-husband Ripped off the Wallpaper After Our Divorce Because ‘He Paid for It’ – Karma Had a Joke in Store for Him

My ex-husband, Dan, once called his infidelity “harmless fun.” But when he tore the wallpaper off my walls after our divorce, karma decided it was her turn — and she had a wicked sense of humor.

We were married eight years, had two kids, and built a life I thought was solid. But it all unraveled when I found intimate messages between him and his secretary. The first time, I forgave him. The second time — red lipstick on his collar — I didn’t.

I kicked him out and filed for divorce. The house, inherited from my grandmother, was mine. He fought over every item, yet didn’t flinch when he gave up custody. “You’re better at the nurturing stuff,” he said.

When I returned home after giving him a week to move out, the floral wallpaper was ripped apart — our kids’ favorite. “I paid for it,” Dan muttered, unbothered by our children’s tears. I left calmly, refusing to let him break me.

Months later, I joined a book club and made new friends — including Cassie, who howled with laughter when I told the wallpaper story.

Six months later, karma showed up. Cassie introduced me to her new fiancé — Dan.

Her face dropped when she realized. “Wait… the wallpaper guy?!” she gasped.

Dan panicked, but Cassie dumped him on the spot.

That night, my son smiled and said, “Our dinosaur wallpaper is way cooler than Dad’s flowers.”

He was right.

Sometimes, karma just needs a little time — and a sense of humor.
