A Year after Son’s Death, Woman Sees Grave of Her Daughter-In-Law at the Cemetery – Story of the Day

Brenda, grieving her son Christopher’s death, traveled to his grave after a year in a clinic. At the metro station, she spotted her late son’s wife, Harper, but when she approached, the woman denied knowing her and disappeared into the crowd.

Confused, Brenda continued to the cemetery—only to be shocked by a headstone beside Christopher’s. It was Harper’s. She had supposedly died a week ago.

Determined to find answers, Brenda met Jake, Christopher’s best friend. Jake claimed Harper had stolen five million dollars from the company before dying in a fiery car crash. But his nervous demeanor and the cemetery groundskeeper’s claim that no one attended Harper’s funeral raised Brenda’s suspicions.

That night, while Jake slept, Brenda searched his luggage. What she found made her blood run cold—two fake passports, one with Harper’s photo under the name “Sarah,” and two plane tickets to London. Harper was alive.

Brenda spiked Jake’s drink with sleeping pills and waited. When Harper texted, demanding to know why he was late, Brenda knew her plan had worked. Harper arrived at the house, only to be met with a blow from Brenda’s vase.

The police arrested Jake and Harper, who finally confessed: they had staged Harper’s death using a stolen corpse, hoping to escape with the stolen money.

But Brenda had outwitted them.
