Travel Influencer Dies in Tryfan Fall

Maria Eftimova, 28, a civil engineering student at the University of Salford, tragically fell 65 feet to her death while climbing Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia, Wales, on February 22. Despite immediate CPR efforts by her friend Anna and Anna’s father, she could not be saved.

Friends remembered her adventurous spirit and kindness. Megan Griffiths called her “one of a kind,” while Victoria Critchley described her as “ambitious, bright, and uplifting.” A passionate snowboarder, Eftimova had been eagerly anticipating an upcoming trip to Austria.

Her family in Bulgaria is struggling to bring her home, and a fundraiser has raised over £19,000 ($24,000) to help. “Words cannot express the devastation her family and our community are experiencing,” said Critchley.
