Man Waits for Son He Has Not Seen in Years at the Airport, Does Not Find Boy among Passengers – Story of the Day

Arlene sent her seven-year-old son, Justin, on a flight to visit his father, Pierce, in Orlando. It was Justin’s first time flying alone, and Arlene was nervous but reassured by the airline staff. Pierce, excited to see his son, waited anxiously at Orlando International Airport. When the flight landed, however, Justin was nowhere to be found.

Pierce contacted the airline, but they claimed no record of an unaccompanied minor for that flight. Panic set in. He called Arlene, who was already at the airport in Virginia, and they both grew frantic. Arlene told Pierce she had confirmed the flight details, but something wasn’t right. Justin wasn’t with Pierce.

In a moment of realization, Arlene checked her emails. She had mistakenly sent Pierce the wrong airport information. “Justin arrived at Orlando Sanford International Airport!” she exclaimed. Pierce, now in a full sprint, rushed to the correct airport.

Within 30 minutes, Pierce reached the right airport. Justin, safe and sound, greeted him with a big smile. “I’m with Dad, Mom! Thank you for helping me!” he said as he called Arlene.

Relieved, Arlene finally exhaled. Her son was safe, and despite the mix-up, their reunion was everything they had hoped for. The trip to Disney World would soon begin, and Arlene couldn’t wait to hear all about it.
