Sam’s heart sank when he found the missing money hidden among Jazmin’s belongings. Shocked, he gripped the cash tightly, realizing his wife had framed his little sister Emma for a crime she didn’t commit.
It all started two months ago when Emma moved in after their mom fell sick. Tensions quickly arose. Jazmin, pregnant and stressed, struggled with Emma’s presence. When money began disappearing, Jazmin subtly hinted that Emma might have taken it. Sam, torn, asked Emma if she had, and her crushed expression still haunted him.
Now, holding the cash, Sam felt overwhelming guilt. He confronted Jazmin, who admitted she’d hidden the money out of jealousy. “I thought I was losing you,” she confessed, tears in her eyes.
Determined to make things right, Sam visited Emma and apologized. Though hurt, Emma forgave him but refused to return home unless Jazmin apologized.
When they got back, Jazmin hesitated but, seeing the pain she’d caused, apologized sincerely. Emma cautiously agreed to try again, and the family began healing.
Later, as Sam returned the money to its hiding spot, he smiled, whispering, “For a rainy day.”
