Zoe, a nurse, often relied on her mother-in-law, Denise, to babysit her son, Leo. Recently, Leo had grown terrified of Denise, saying she acted “strange” and tried to put cotton swabs in his mouth. Concerned, Zoe confronted Denise and discovered she was trying to collect Leo’s DNA without permission, driven by suspicion that Leo wasn’t her son Andrew’s child because of his blonde hair.
Denise’s obsession planted doubt in Andrew, who suggested a DNA test to clear any uncertainty. Hurt but determined to settle the issue, Zoe agreed, with the condition that Andrew take a test as well to prove his own lineage.
The results confirmed Leo was Andrew’s son, but shockingly, Andrew’s test revealed that his father wasn’t his biological parent. Denise confessed to having had an affair in her youth, a secret she’d kept hidden for years.
Devastated, Andrew decided to distance himself from his mother, choosing to focus on Zoe and Leo instead. Denise’s guilt over her past had driven her to question others’ loyalties, and now, she had to face the consequences of her actions.
