My MIL Turned Our Adopted Daughter’s Room into a Storage Space — So I Got the Ultimate Revenge

My mother-in-law, Linda, had always made my life difficult, but when she turned my adopted daughter Lily’s room into a storage space, I was furious. For years, she had looked for ways to undermine me, but this time, she crossed a line.

Jack and I adopted Lily after struggling with fertility issues, but Linda never accepted her. She’d make hurtful remarks like, “You’ll never understand true motherhood without pregnancy,” which I ignored for the sake of peace.

However, after returning from a trip to Disneyland, we found Linda had filled Lily’s room with her old belongings. I called her, demanding an explanation, but she brushed it off, saying Lily was “just adopted” and wouldn’t remember.

That was the final straw. The next day, I packed all of Linda’s things and shipped them to random locations, including her beloved country club. The main box, filled with her old bras and sweaters, was labeled “URGENT.”

A few days later, she called me, enraged. I calmly replied, “Now you know how Lily felt,” and hung up. Linda hasn’t bothered us since, and we’ve enjoyed peace without her interference.
